Corby Glen Preschool- Preschool
Preschool is a large, open planned village hall setting that is divided into 2 groups; ‘young children/babies’ and ‘preschool’. We are a free flow setting that has access to a fenced secure garden and endless amount of space on our large field.
The preschool room is split into areas. In these sections your child will be exploring through play, they are set out into areas of play which are: Creative art, Messy/discovery, quiet literacy, role play area and small world/construction.
Your child is sure to make lots of friends within a tight-knit community within our developing village. We hope with all that we have to offer your child will thrive within our setting; allowing us to nurture their learning and development further at this key developmental age. We have up to 16 children within our preschool room aged between 2 years and 4 years old each session.
The children are able to access all resources and equipment within these areas, and have adult support whenever needed. We carry out a wide range of activities both adult led and child initiated, these are based on your child’s individual interests and abilities.
We monitor your child’s progress by making observations and completing their online learning journey. All activities are assessed to the needs of the children and are carefully planned to promote their individual developmental stage.
Each week forest school sessions are ran with Our Forest School Leader Catherine, where we continue our in the moment planning with activities, interests and developing learning. Please see our forest school page for more information.
