Corby Glen Preschool- ‘Young Children/Toddlers’
Corby Glen Preschool is based in a large, bright, open planned village hall, that is divided into 2 groups; ‘young children/toddlers’ and ‘preschool’ We care for up to 3 children within our ‘young children/toddlers’ area at any one time.
We provide a safe and secure environment, children in this room are welcomed by their Level 3 qualified key worker to whom they develop strong relations with and focus on building their learning in the 3 prime areas. Building on experiences and their own individual interests both indoors and outdoors.
Our aim before you’re child begins their journey here at Corby Glen Preschool, is to gain as much information as possible with regards to each individual child’s routine, interests and enjoyment. We do this by ensuring an ‘All about me’ form is filled in and offering taster sessions. This process enables both the child and families to be reassured throughout the transition into preschool.
We follow a simple flexible routine to meet the needs of the children as well as provide daily opportunities for singing, stories and sensory experiences to develop early language skills.
All activities are designed to meet the needs of the children and are carefully planned to promote their individual developmental stages. We use our tapestry learning journals to promote communication with parents and to keep you updated on your child’s time and development at Preschool.
Each week forest school sessions are ran with Our Forest School Leader Catherine, where we continue our in the moment planning with activities, interests and developing learning. Please see our forest school page for more information.
